LBJ's Barry Come Home Campaign
To aid in the effort of the Winnipeg Jets to secure Barry Trotz as the franchise's new head coach, Little Brown Jug Brewing (LBJ) is offering Barry Trotz complimentary beer for life and a beer named after him.
The Winnipeg Jets are in the market for a head coach and Barry Trotz is the perfect fit for Manitoba. Barry Trotz not only boasts an incredible resume that includes a Stanley Cup and claim to third place on the all-time coach wins list – his hometown is Dauphin, Manitoba. As Manitoban’s know, a lot of us move away but we always remain Manitobans. Barry, it’s time to come home.
To make this decision even easier for the coach, Little Brown Jug Brewing Company is committed to sweetening the deal. If Barry Trotz comes home and signs a deal with The Winnipeg Jets, he will receive complimentary LBJ beer for life. Not just that, a beer named after the coach will be added to the LBJ lineup, as a way of welcoming a fellow Manitoban back to the province.
For fans that want to help with this cause, use #barrycomehome on Twitter. Use it to voice what you think the Barry Trotz beer should be named. Or send a friendly Manitoban invitation to the coach in your own words. An LBJ prize pack will be awarded to a randomly selected fan who uses this hashtag.
“I don’t know how a good Manitoban guy could overlook the opportunity to come back, turn a team around in his home province, have free beer for life and his own beer from our favourites over at Little Brown Jug” – Andrew Patterson (partner/host, Winnipeg Sports Talk)
